I never expected to see the Northern Lights over Mt Rainier and was crying when I did on this very special evening. I was so lucky to witness this magical moment!
Chicago Lighthouse - John Wesley Jenkins - Peoples Choice April 11
I stood at the edges of the shore of Lake Michigan. The sky was dark, carrying remnants of the rain it just released. A small break in those clouds allowed of the lighthouse to stand bright against the background. The lighthouse seems to defy the sky, and stand strong against the battering rain.

This red fox was photographed in Lamar Valley in Yellow Stone National Park. It is very unusual to find a fox that is so close I was able to obtain a very detail photo as the fox was waking up. It was my first time in Yellowstone in the winter, and first time photographing fox. It was a very special experience to me.
