2026 Spring Fair Photo Contest
Congratulations to Top Winners of 2026

Eyes Wide Shut -Dan Evans Jr. - Best of Show $150
Gained access to the top of 2 Union Square in downtown Seattle. Not a fan of heights. Got this shot on my knees with arm and camera extended over the edge to get the shot. Glad for viewfinders that tilt so I could see down without directly looking.

Poppies -Dennis Plank - Top Winner - 1st Place $100
My wife has a couple of beds of Lithadora, one of which had an adjoining bed of California Poppies in it. I noticed the beautiful color combination and decided to photograph the poppies behind the Lithadora. I did several variations with one or the other in focus and even a focus stack, but I liked this the best. To get the blue Lithadora I had to get to ground level, so the photo ended up with a fairly narrow band of gold at the top which I extended to get the aspect ratio I wanted.

Morning Boat -Gordy Lee - Top Winner - 2nd Place $75
Taken near Point Ruston on a foggy morning. I came upon this boat as I was traveling along Ruston Way observing the fog and the early first light. The image was taken with a Sony A7C ii on a tripod with 25-70 lens, and a 10 stop ND filter and 60 second exposure

Grand Central Terminal 8:53am -Dan Evans Jr. - Top Winner - 3rd Place $50
Headed to Grand Central Terminal in NYC as it's a beautiful interior and lots going on at any time of day. This was the end of morning rush hour. Got lucky with the direction of the sun.
